Mimi and Mark were selected by Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City to be an honoree for the MOST WANTED auction for their 42 year involvement with BBBS. Mimi and Mark met because of BBBS, and their little brother,
John Barker, was the ring bearer and Mimi’s little sister, Karla Davis, was their flower girl.
YOUNG LIFE

Mark and Mimi have hosted the last 2 YL Spring Classic Golf Tournaments, and are looking forward to the next!
While living in Platte City, for over 11 years, the Comforts have also hosted Young Life, a non-denominational Christian youth group in their home.Twice a week, they opened their home to around
100 high schoolers for Young Life.
"It has been one of the biggest blessings of our lives to be able to open our home to these kids each week –
we get very close to them since we see them every week for all four years of high school,” Mimi says.
"Everyone in Platte City knows where the Comforts live and all of the kids are welcome, night or day,”

leaders who dedicate their time and talent to tackle the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges.

and geographical areas. Their work impacts lives at both the local and international levels.

COMFORT FIELD
at Park University 2002
Built in 2002 and Home to Park University baseball, Comfort Field has undergone multiple cosmetic changes
in recent years, including new windscreens and an enclosed home bullpen. In 2018, permanent bathrooms and storage will be added down the left field line, with plans for a press box on the horizon.
